Training Clinic giving athletes a leg up on the competition Athens, GA - The Athens Area Golden Games Organizational Committee will host a free Training Clinic for all area seniors who plan to participate in the 4th Annual Athens Area Golden Games, April 28-May 3, 2003. The Training Clinic will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2003 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the Medical Services Building on the Athens Regional Medical Center campus. Physical and Occupational Therapists from the ARMC Outpatient Rehabilitation Department will offer expert training tips for golf, tennis, bowling, running and swimming. The Athens Area Golden Games is an annual community event for area residents who are 55 years old or older. The Games provide the opportunity for older adults to participate in a social, competitive, recreational, and athletic event, helping to maintain and improve overall health and wellness. The Golden Games are a collaborative project supported by several area organizations including Athens Regional Medical Center, St. Mary's Hospital, Area Agency on Aging, Athens Community Council on Aging, Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services and Oconee County Parks and Recreation.
