Physicians Imaging Center- General X-Ray

General radiology or diagnostic x-ray is used to diagnose problems with the skeletal system, chest, abdomen, digestive system, etc. This includes fluoroscopy, which images some organs during their function.

Many diagnostic procedures require no food or drink from midnight the night before until the exam is completed. Some tests, such as colon studies, require specific preparation. These preps will be explained at the time your appointment is made.

For most exams, you will be asked to change into a gown provided by the radiology department.
