Physicians Imaging Center
 Welcome to the Physicians Imaging Center of Athens Regional Medical Center. We are proud to offer the first free-standing Radiology Diagnostic Center in our community.
The building is located behind the hospital, near the Medical Services Building with direct access off King Avenue. Parking for the Center is available directly in front of the building, with additional parking in front of the Medical Services Building.
The Radiologists and staff will provide you with the highest quality of care, combining modern equipment and years of specialized medical and technical experience. Our staff will deliver this care in a warm, personalized setting and strive to make your stay as worry-free as possible.
Things to Remember When You Visit the Physicians Imaging Center
 Parking:
The entrance to the Physicians Imaging Center is off King Avenue.
You may park in the King Avenue lot in front of the Center or in the Medical Services Building lot. Click here for map.
Registration:
A written order and diagnosis from your doctor requesting the procedure or test are required when you register for your outpatient service.
Please arrive at the Center 30 minutes before your test is scheduled.
Unless otherwise instructed, you will not be required to check-out with the outpatient registration desk when your test is completed.
Special Instructions:
Call the Center at 475-9729 for special instructions (example: what kind of clothing do I wear, what wan I eat, not eat etc.), if your doctor's office has not answered all of your questions.
Some procedures such as Abdomen CT Scan, or Ultrasound of the pelvis, require that you drink large quantities of liquid. Therefore, you may be told to arrive at the Center as much as an hour before you scheduled appointment time.
Test Results:
The Center will be unable to tell you the results of your test.
Your test results will be reported directly to your doctor. Please contact him/her for this information.
Billing:
Some outpatient services/tests have separate hospital and doctor fees. Therefore, you may receive a bill from the hospital and another bill from you physician(s), the radiologist, or pathologist.
Please bring with you and appropriate insurance cards or insurance forms. Patients with insurance are expected to pay any deductible or co-insurance amounts at the time of service. If you do not provide proper insurance information, you will be asked for payment at the time of service.
