J.W. Fanning Award

Dear Friend of Athens Regional Medical Center,

The Athens Regional Foundation is proud to present the eighteenth annual “J.W. Fanning Humanitarian of the Year” award to a deserving individual from our community. This award recipient will be honored at the annual Pillar Society Reception on the evening of May 6, 2008, at the Taylor Grady House. Each year the individual is selected based on the following criteria:

All of the past recipients have carried on the tradition of service set by Dr. Fanning, the late UGA Vice President for Service and the father of leadership development in Georgia. We have included a Call to Nomination Form that includes a brief history of the award as well as criteria and brief comments about each of our past recipients.

As a community leader, we are asking you to take the time to nominate a worthy individual. By taking a few moments to think about the many involved citizens you know, your nomination ensures that all deserving candidates are considered for this special recognition named in honor of Dr. J.W. Fanning.
